The Color Background Remover app is a simple browser-based tool that lets you delete a solid-color background from any picture without installing software. Everything happens locally in your web browser, so no files are uploaded to the internet.
Open the folder you downloaded and unzip it if it is still compressed. Inside the folder you will find a file named index.html. Double-click this file and it will open in your default web browser.
Click the Choose File button and select the picture you want to edit. The image will appear on the page. Move your mouse over the image and click on the background area you want to remove. The color you click becomes the target color for removal.
Use the Tolerance slider to control how close a pixel’s color must be to the chosen background color to be removed. A low value removes only pixels that are almost exactly the same color. A higher value removes a wider range of similar colors. Adjust the slider until the preview looks good.
When you are satisfied with the background color and tolerance, click the Process button. The app will process the picture and make the chosen background transparent.
Choose a format to save the edited picture. You can click Download PNG to save a transparent PNG image or Download WebP to save a transparent WebP image. Both formats preserve transparency and can be used on websites, presentations, or graphics projects.
If you want to start over with a new image, click the Reset button. This clears the current image, resets the tolerance, and disables the process and download buttons so you can begin again.
This tool works completely offline. You can open it at any time, choose a picture, click a background, process the image, and download the result without needing an internet connection.
