Managing advertisements in WordPress doesn’t have to be complicated. Many ad plugins include dozens of settings that can overwhelm beginners, while others rely entirely on automatic placement with little control over where ads appear.
Adslastica 1.6.5 keeps things simple by combining manual ad placement with new automatic post ads, giving you more control without adding unnecessary complexity.
Two Ways to Display Ads
Version 1.6.5 introduces two different ways to display advertisements.
Manual Ads
Manual Ads use shortcodes, allowing you to place ads exactly where you want them. They work in most places that support WordPress shortcodes, including:
- Posts
- Pages
- Homepage layouts
- Widgets
- Most page builders
Simply add your ad code once and insert the shortcode wherever you need it.
Automatic Post Ads
The biggest addition in version 1.6.5 is Automatic Post Ads.
Instead of manually editing every article, you can save up to three different ad codes and assign each one to a display location.
Available locations include:
- Before the post
- After paragraph 2
- Middle of the post
- Before the last paragraph
- After the post
Each saved Post Ad can be assigned to one location, allowing up to three automatic ads in a single article.
Built-In ads.txt Support
For Google AdSense users, Adslastica also includes several tools to simplify ads.txt management.
The plugin can:
- Generate a virtual ads.txt entry from your Publisher ID
- Detect an existing physical ads.txt file
- Check whether ads.txt is publicly accessible
- Display the current ads.txt status
- Copy a manual ads.txt line with one click when needed
These features make it easier to verify your AdSense setup without editing server files.
Supports Multiple Ad Networks
Although Adslastica was originally designed for Google AdSense, it is not limited to AdSense.
If your advertising provider supplies HTML or JavaScript ad code, you can usually paste it directly into the Manual Ad or Post Ad boxes.
Lightweight and Beginner Friendly
Adslastica focuses on the features most website owners actually need.
There are no complicated configuration screens or theme edits. Add your ad code, choose where it should appear, save your settings, and you’re ready to go.
What’s New in Version 1.6.5

- Added automatic post ad insertion

If you’re looking for a lightweight WordPress advertising plugin that supports both manual placement and automatic post ads, Adslastica 1.6.5 offers a simple solution that works with most modern WordPress themes and page builders.
