Besides 3D Image Carousel which lets you flip through photos and Liquid-zoom for smooth high-quality zooming with minimum aliasing, Pictomio provides you Exif editor to view and edit metadata in JPG files.

From the main Pictomio window you can change rating, annotation, categories and global image tags. The search box at the top right of the Pictomio lets you search using several attributes of the image files: filename, tags, categories, albums, description. You can use Library to sort photos by date, rating or category or use Exif data to find all photos that were taken with a certain camera model or at a certain shutter speed. Pictomio also provides color pipette and the measuring tool to determine the color values of pixels and precisely measure any section of a photo.

Though Pictomio system requirements are not high (Windows XP/Vista, CPU with > 1 GHZ, 1GB RAM, Shader Model 2.0 graphics card with 128 MB RAM) and developers are working on performance and speed optimizations in reality you should have rather powerful video card to work with Pictomio smoothly. In addition, Pictomio is still buggy but it has amazing effects and seems very promising.

Before Pictomio goes 1.0 final developers promise to add IPTC/XMP meta data support, image color correction, 3D folders, additional plug-ins, video format support and Web integration. And by the end of 2008 Pictomio 2.0 version should include PSD and RAW file formats support, multi-monitor image viewing and video export of slideshow.
