I would also consider trying out Workgroups. I found it to be a more advanced option in comparison to Basecamp. http://www.metacommunications.com/products/workgroups/

Thanks for the great list. I recommend adding OneDesk to your list of PM tools: http://www.onedesk.com. OneDesk connects the crucial process of project management to the rest of the product development process.

Thanks,

Thought that you would have mentionned OnePMO, not web-based but a must-have, you can check it here if you want: http://www.onepmo.com

We use Dooster too. It's a good list. It's interesting to see what else is out there especially if they work anything as well as the better known ones.

We use Manitoo from ADIOSCLOUD.com. It’s easy to use and powerful when it comes to managing customers/projects/tasks. Comes also with smart invoicing and integrated chat.

I can only recognise ActivCollab and Zoho from this review and then Intervals, Deskaway and 5pm. The one my boss wanted was Basecamp of course but we got Dooster instead and we're really pleased with it.

Another one to add to the list is Dooster. Definitely should be in the top 20 project management tools list. If you haven't already I recommend checking it out: www.dooster.net

Has anyone tried to look at ProjectManager? I would highly recommend this to your list of top 20 tools.

5pmweb seems like decent software though I would also recommend taking a look at Liquid Planner has some unique features such as the implementation of ranges which helps in estimating completion times. What you end up with is more accurate estimation of project completion because each task isn't limited to being finished at an exact time. Heavens know I'm not always exactly on time, haha.

I would highly encourage everyone to take a look at the tool developed by my company - ProjectGoo. ProjectGoo integrates Microsoft Project with the Google Cloud to provide a pretty robust portfolio/project management platform that serves globally distributed teams. Oh - and it's completely free!
