I have (had) a FaxDigits fax number, but, when anyone tries to send a fax to it, the number is reported as disconnected. The end of the service must have arrived.

GotFreeFax.com is another website that lets user send free fax online to the US and Canada. No Ads added to fax. User can either use its online rich text editor or upload a PDF/Word file to fax. Free service has limit of 3 pages per fax and 2 faxes per day.

I can't express how much internet fax has helped my business. The price is great, it is reliable, saves a lot of time and leaves me extremely organized. I am also very conscious about the environment so I like how you save paper.

We had considered discontinuing our land lines and just use cell phones for voice lines. We also have a fax and we considered using an internet based fax service. During the process we discovered that we needed the land phone line for our home security system. It turned out that a stripped down land line was about the same price as the internet fax service. Plus the land line works better for 911 and emergency calls in the event of natural disaster. Another way to accomplish it is with a fax line switch.

I've had alot of problems with the free service of Faxdigits. I use it only for incoming faxes, and there are many times it will only fax the first page of what someone is sending to me. Today, while Faxdigits does appear to be receiving faxes people are sending me, the senders are getting "send error" messages, and the faxes are not arriving in my email inbox. There simply IS NO SUPPORT SERVICE CONTACT at Faxdigits as far as I can tell. I guess I'm getting what I pay for. But I've also relied on the fax number they have given me for all my business cards and letterhead, so if they can't clean up their act, I'll have to get a new service and work on getting my new fax number "out there" to my clients and others....

FaxDigits is a COMPLETELY unreliable service. I use it just for receiving faxes and have had problems many times - both with the e-mail servers going down and the faxes not going through (error = "poor line condition"). Their customer service department takes days to respond, too. You'd be better off paying the monthly fee for myfax.com or send2fax.com. I just switched after too many problems with faxdigits.com.
