Blog downtime caused by Bad Behavior plugin

Really bad behaviorMy apologies to all readers and visitors of Graphic design for life! While I was too busy last days, hosting company blocked my account for ’suspicious background activity’ which was caused by Bad Behavior Wordpress plugin (Bad Behavior should protect your site from spambots). I have to delete it immediately and give advice to everybody not use Bad Behavior until it will become 100% safe or change principles of its work.

Your hosting company has no idea what they’re talking about.

Bad Behavior is perfectly safe and does not generate anything that could be called “suspicious background activity.”

I would need to know more information in order to determine if Bad Behavior was the real cause of the problem, or if it was your hosting company, or a denial of service attack launched against your site, or some other problem.

But since you didn’t contact me, I couldn’t help you.

Just wanted to see if this was ever resolved (if you contacted the plugin author). I just instituted this on a few blogs and saw this in google. Made me nervous at first, but seems there is probably more to this.
